On May the 11th Llangeinor Community Garden had a Volunteer Day a it was a huge success. Many members of the community came out to help, young and old.
On April the 12th members from Community Foodie gardens from across Bridgend, the Vale and Torfaen visited Coed hills in the Vale of Glamorgan and met with their growers and members of Riverside Market Garden to discuss sustainable food growing methods
Ynysteg get down and dirty digging their raised beds and moving recently delivered stable compost to rhubabrb patch and compost bins!! The volunteers prove that composting, garden maintenance & growing is fun what ever the weather.

Community Foodie was demonstrating at the Bridgend heritage Conference ” This is YOUR Heritage” in Pencoed, Bridgend in April. The project was doing cooking demonstrations and showing people how to make their own bread, pickles and local welsh recipes faggots and peas!! All enjoyed the demos and the tasters!!!
Foodie had a fabulous time at Bushwaka (Bryngarw Park) — planting and meeting all the visitors rain or shine — what an excellent turn out and so much enthusiasm for growing your own food.

Yes the Llangeinor Community garden is offcicially open.
